Affiliate entities are an important part of the campus public safety community. They include groups such as federal agencies, associations serving institutions of higher education, and professional and nonprofit organizations. We have compiled a list of these affiliates, listed alphabetically, for your easy reference. This is a "living list" that will continue to grow and expand over time. We encourage you to regularly visit this list for updates.
Valor for Blue (VALOR)
VALOR provides critical nationwide training and technical assistance to sworn state, local, and tribal law enforcement officers through a variety of delivery mechanisms and conducts and disseminates analysis of violent encounters in various forms, including after-action reviews and lessons learned publications.
VAWnet
The goal of VAWnet, The National Online Resource Center on Violence Against Women, is to use electronic communication technology to enhance efforts to prevent violence against women and intervene more effectively when it occurs. VAWnet supports local, state, and national prevention and intervention strategies that enhance safety and well-being and address the self-identified needs and concerns of victims and survivors.
Victims Rights Law Center (VRLC)
The VRLC is dedicated solely to serving the legal needs of sexual assault victims. The VRLC not only provides legal representation to victims of rape and sexual assault to help rebuild their lives, but also promotes a national movement committed to seeking justice for every rape and sexual assault victim.
Virginia Center for Policing Innovation (VCPI)
VCPI is an organization committed to advancing public safety by providing training and services for law enforcement professionals and the communities they serve. VCPI is known for collaborative, creative and interactive training but the VCPI experience extends beyond that. VCPI is a valuable resource providing consulting, technical assistance and project management and coordination to local, state and federal agencies as well as private organizations. Beyond that, VCPI pursues partnerships with other organizations to enhance and promote public safety at all levels of the local, state and national community.
VTV Family Outreach Foundation
VTV is committed to advocating for legislation that will ensure safety on campuses and enacting and/or supporting programs that will address issues that contribute to violence such as bullying and mental health. VTV believes that the safety of college students begins when children are young and wishes to help change a culture to a more caring, compassionate one.
